Well, inflation is kind of hard to hide in China apparently. Incentive now for the Chinese to repeg their currency= even more US inflation. Looks like deep doo doo and the perfect storm to me.

China's Jan. Inflation Rate Holds at 3.2%, Highest in 6 1/2 Yrs
Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- China's inflation rate held at a its highest level in 6 1/2 years in January as food became more expensive.

Consumer prices rose 3.2 percent from a year earlier, according to Beijing-based Mainland Marketing Research Co. (China), which releases monthly figures on behalf of the statistics bureau. That matches December's gain, which was the biggest increase since April 1997.

Food costs, which account about a third of the index, jumped 8 percent. The cost of telecommunications and transportation equipment fell 1 percent, it said. The price of clothing fell 1.6 percent and household appliances were 1.9 percent cheaper.
