blebovits, I take it that you regard this as a good thing: re: "The Demarc Evolves Beyond Traditional Endpoint" Other than those manufacturers who think for themselves and design their wares in accordance with their own convictions, most will design features and capabilities into their wares what their customers - in this case we're talking about incumbent telcos - tell them to. Or else. In the case at hand, extending a demarc beyond the front door or window sill and into the customer's living room and among & between the customer's appliances effectively places the customer's home network under the surveillance and, potentially, the control, of the telco. Has it occurred to you that this might be tantamount to the most blatant form of electronic home invasion? ------
