The problem that MTBE was supposed to help solve was and is exhaust emissions. The MTBE's were an oxygenator. This means they increased oxygen levels and thereby in theory increased the efficiency of the burn. By doing so they reduced harmful emissions. Now after billions of dollars we find that the solution created a problem. (Whats new!) F420 has as ATG announced submitted the F420 to the AIM test. This test subjects any proposed replacement to MTBE's to a series of tests designed to test for new environmental damage. The company has spent a great deal of time in this effort and certainly appears to be on the right road. The stock certainly responded to the news positively.
